Furtography – Capturing Personality That Sparkles Since 2001.
Puppy parent, Crazy cat daddy and patisserie addict Craig Turner-Bullock has been photographing dogs professionally since 2001. Based in Christchurch, he travels across New Zealand and the world to capture images of dogs (and other pets) for commercial and private clients. Furtography has become known for bright, colourful images that sparkle with his subjects personality.
In 2020 Craig won the title Dog Photographer of the Year at the International Animal Image Makers Competition. In 2018 was the New Zealand Portrait Open Photographer of the Year, and Canterbury/Westland Regional Photographer of the Year. He has a number of other awards from all over the world.
Craig is a Fujifilm Global X-Photographer and the author of 3 best-selling books; Quake Dogs, Quake Cats and A Dog’s Life. Craig’s work with charities locally and overseas is something close to his heart, as well as taking adoption photos for pets needing forever homes, he is an ambassador for the Kotuku Foundation Assistance Animals Aotearoa, a charity that trains and places assistance dogs with people who need them.
Craig loves teaching other pet photographers and has been running workshops since 2015. In 2019 the Furtography Academy was launched. It’s an online training resource for pet photographers to learn their craft and help find their style.
